Watch now: Everything you need to know for Great Mental Health Day 2026
Great Mental Health Day is returning on Friday, 30 January 2026, and the excitement across London is already building.
To kickstart the celebrations, Thrive LDN hosted a webinar bringing together community groups, charities, and local authorities to share plans and ideas. If you missed the live session, you can now watch the full recording below to catch up on the latest updates.

Celebrating ‘everyday spaces’
This year’s theme focuses on ‘everyday spaces’, the places and faces in our local communities that support our wellbeing without us even realising it.
As James Ludley from Thrive LDN explained during the webinar, this isn’t about reinventing the wheel. It is about shining a light on the incredible work already happening on our doorsteps, from community choirs to local community kitchens.
Haringey’s journey
Joining the webinar was Dr Chantelle Fatania, Consultant in Public Health at Haringey Council. Haringey is where the Great Mental Health Day initiative began five years ago.
Chantelle shared inspiring examples of how the borough is marking the day, including family wellbeing events with ABC Parents, movie nights, and staff wellbeing walks.
Her key message was clear: events don’t have to be huge to make a difference. Simple moments of connection, like a cuppa and a chat, are often the most powerful.
