Pride In London is the UK’s biggest, most diverse Pride, with 30,000 participants and an estimated audience of around 1 million people.

The first weekend in July saw the culmination of Pride In London, the UK’s biggest, most diverse Pride. Thrive LDN was delighted to support a variety of events across the weekend.
On Friday 5th July, Thrive LDN visited Southwark Council’s Tooley Street offices to take part in their LGBTQ+ Staff Network Pride Fayre, which was open for Southwark Council staff members and members of the public to get more information about facilities and services for the LGBTQ+ community.
Here Shaun Dellenty, award winning educator, LGBT+ inclusion trainer and author, talks about how important it is for the LGBTQ+ community to see their local authority visibly supporting Pride.
We also spoke to Fiona Wasdell and Kamran Khan from Southwark Council at their LGBTQ+ Staff Network Pride Fayre about how important is it to promote LGBTQ+ rights within the local authority area and why we need to keep working on inclusion, inequality and issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community.
Saturday 6th July saw the Pride Jubilee Parade, with 30,000 people from all parts of the LGBTQ+ community marching through the capital and attendance thought to be in excess of one million. Thrive LDN was delighted to join the City of London Corporation’s float for the parade.
