The Mayor of London is supporting Debt Free Advice to deliver a three-month advice bus tour to support Londoners through the cost-of-living crisis.

The bus will visit over 35 London locations over a three-month period, starting on 23 November 2022, delivering a range of in-person advice including debt advice, advice on benefit entitlements and other money worries. The tour ends on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 with stop offs that include Stratford, Brent, Greenwich, and Brixton.

The bus will also provide signposting on other cost-of-living support, and host webinars on a range of topics including budgeting, debt options, and mental health.

Matt Dronfield, Managing Director, Debt Free Advice, said: “Winter is setting in, and we already see many of our customers having to choose between heating and eating. Over 42% of our customers have a utility bill problem debt. The cost of living crisis has made it difficult for people to keep up with their bills and outgoings.

“Even after we’re extending our service hours to 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm, we still are not accessible to everyone. As such, we are going on the road with our advice bus to help as many people as possible with their money worries in places convenient for them.”
