Help Urban Mind understand how city living is affecting mental wellbeing

Urban Mind is a smartphone app which measures user’s experience of urban or rural living in the moment. The purpose of Urban Mind is to understand more about how urban and rural living is affecting mental wellbeing. The app is a research project by King’s College London, landscape architects J&L Gibbons and arts foundation Nomad Projects.
Thrive LDN is pleased to be working with King’s College London to understand more about Londoners’ mental health and wellbeing, of which the built and natural environment is an important attribute.
We are calling upon Londoners to download and install the app and support the research project. The more users accessing Urban Mind across London, then the better the quality of data available to the research team.
The objective of the research is to inform future urban planning and social policy aimed at improving design and health. By collecting real-time data, the Urban Mind research team will be able to understand how different aspects of the urban environment affect mental wellbeing.
The Urban Mind app
Urban Mind requires you to provide some basic information about your lifestyle and mental wellbeing. Once you have provided this, you will be asked to answer a series of questions about your current urban or rural environment, lifestyle and mental wellbeing, three times per day over a period of two weeks.
You can download the app here or via the App Store/ Google Store on your mobile device.
