Great Mental Health Day 2025

On Friday, 31 January 2025, London will mark Great Mental Health Day.

The aim of Great Mental Health Day is to get us talking about our mental health and wellbeing and to raise awareness of the great local services available to Londoners all year round.

We all need community. We all need connection. And in a world where those who face the greatest disadvantages in life also face the greatest risks to their mental health, we need these safe spaces more than ever. Great Mental Health Day is also an opportunity to celebrate and learn from the organisations across the region and those in our communities who are devoting energy and compassion to others.

We’ll be updating the resources and information about the day, keep checking back or sign up for our newsletter to be the first to hear about plans and how you can get involved.

What other Londoners have said about Great Mental Health Day

“If other people have done the same as me today, this will help Londoners have important conversations about mental health and suicide.”

“It highlights how important everyone’s wellbeing is.”

“It is great having something organised conveniently where I live. It allows me to connect with other residents living on my doorstep and make new friends without even leaving the block of flats”.

“An amazing opportunity to hear about and learn how to access services we hadn't heard of before."

“It was very informative, good mix of stalls, and activities, very busy and lively, fun, with opportunities to meet others and positively engage in the local community. Shame its only once a year. Would like more community events like this!”
