Great Mental Health Day aims to get us talking about mental health and sharing what we do to keep well and support those around us.
Local residents are able to access local support services via the Ealing Council website.
London’s digital wellbeing service, Good Thinking offers free, anonymous digital mental health and wellbeing support and is available 24/7, 365 days a year. Good Thinking’s resources are NHS-approved and cover a range of common mental health conditions, including stress, anxiety, low mood, sleep problems and bereavement.
Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind is here for anyone struggling with their mental health or supporting someone who is. You can refer yourself to local NHS talking therapies. For free, urgent, support from mental health professionals, call your local NHS urgent mental health helpline.
You can call the Samaritans day or night on 116 123. You can talk to someone if you are feeling low or are concerned about someone else.
Shout offers confidential 24/7 crisis text support for times when you need immediate assistance. Text “SHOUT” to 85258.
It is provided by national mental health charity, Chasing the Stigma, and brings local, national, peer, community, charity, private and NHS mental health support and services together in one place for the first time.
Best For You is an NHS programme designed for – and in consultation with – young people and their families. It brings together a wide range of tried-and-tested digital resources on one website, providing 24/7 support for young people. Working with community partners, Best For You provides information and signposting, early intervention, and support while young people wait for NHS care.
They work with local volunteers who give their time to connect with people who may otherwise go for weeks on end without having a conversation with anyone.
We believe that simple human connection can make a huge difference to physical and mental wellbeing.
Ealing and Hounslow Community Volunteering Service (EHCVS) connects residents with a variety of volunteering opportunities that support both individuals and the community. By matching volunteers with local organisations, they aim to improve wellbeing, foster social connections and provide opportunities for personal development. The service highlights the mental health benefits of volunteering, helping people feel more engaged, supported, and purposeful.

CAPE, a non-profit organisation which supports people living with complex mental health by providing free therapy and strengths-based psychological support, will be running a stall at Ealing Broadway station to mark Great Mental Health Day. Come and drop by if in the area or passing through.
