About the organisation
We are a multimedia organisation that uses creative arts through workshops to address the mental health needs of black boys and challenge the negative portrayal of this demographic in the media. It is a public health response to rising levels of serious youth violence and the media portrayal of black boys and men as perpetrators and victims.
About the project
The Project delivers three 8-week long series of happiness research informed creative workshop with 13-15 year old Black boys to improve their mental health in a bid to reduce their propensity towards violence, increase emotional literacy as well as advocate for necessary system changes within the school institution for more equitable protocols to enable this demographic to thrive.
